We publish books and booklets; in black and white or full color, from 8 to 828 pages of text, or text and images. In addition to this, we'll give you detailed instructions on how to format your book for printing using the Press-Ready PDF standard and we'll coach you through the entire project. If you don't already have your book cover we can also design one for you. We'll provide the ISBN number and Barcode and can even design and host a webpage to help you promote your book.

Using your correctly formatted Press-Ready PDF files (one for the interior and one for the cover) it is possible to publish your paperback or hardback book in as little as fifteen business days. If the book is perfect, you could then place an order for one or as many books as you want. You'll have your book order in about 10 business days—depending on holidays. Plan your events accordingly. Remember you can always place another book order and have them shipped to your door or a specified destination.

And how much will it all cost? Less than you might expect!   Price examples below are for orders under 50 copies and do not include sales tax (tax not applied if you have a resale license), or shipping costs. Quantity discounts apply for book orders of 50 or more copies.

Paperback:
Cover printed on 80 lb paper and laminated.
Trim sizes 5" x 8", 5 ½" x 8 ½", or 6" x 9" are printed on 55 lb offset, creme or white paper.
All other sizes are printed on 50 lb offset, white paper.
Minimum 80 pages required for spine text.

Hardback:
Cover availabe as four-color laminated or Stamped Cloth (100% cotton fabric with acrylic-filled coating. Gold foil stamped spine in an 18 pt Cheltenham Bold font). Cloth books are available in patriot blue or slate gray. Foil stamping on the front cover is not available.
Galleys are bound in 50 lb creme-white end leaves that match the color of the galley and glued into hardback cases.

* Paperback and Hardback Title Set-up Fee for full distriibution or private sales: Fee is based on page count, type, trim size and includes:

~ ISBN and Barcode
~ Review of your layout for the Cover and Interior pages
~ PreFlight test on your Cover and Interior Press-Ready PDFs

~ If selecting full distribution the title is submitted to our sales channel here in the US, the UK, and Canada.
~ Fulfillment of all book orders, tracking of all sales, and quarterly royalty reports.

In most cases our review process of your files will only take a few days. If your Press-Ready PDFs are correct we'll advise you, submit your files, and request a PrePress copy. If we discover layout or formatting errors we will advise you so that you can make the appropriate adjustments in your original document and submit a new Press-Ready PDF. There will be a $30 fee to review the second PDF.

(Set-up Fee does not include any layout adjustments, corrections, or design work.)

Book Covers and Ad Copy:

Cover Layout & Design Services or Creating Ad Copy~ $45.00 each half hour, maximum cost of $180 per project, plus cost of photos purchased (if needed). We can create a professional cover for your book from your text and image files, this includes the front/back covers and spine. Design time will depend on the complexity of your cover. You supply the back cover text, then we will take your layout ideas and spice them up, so your book "jumps off the shelf".

To support publicity, marketing, and sales, we will design one basic webpage for our authors at No Charge. This page will contain book description and front cover image, the author's bio and photo, plus direct links to your title on Amazon and Barnes&Noble.com. Use the web address on all your sales materials. Annual web hosting fee is $36.00.

Webpage Extras: Web Photos and Text, or add'l Webpages

Additional photos and/or text can be added to your main webpage or additional webpages (for sample chapters, etc.) can be designed and cross-linked to your main webpage.
* Webpage or Photo editing $30.00 per 1/2 hour.
* Each additional webpage layout $45.00 (max 2 pages).

Digital Catalog ~ $25 for each ISBN, (12 month listing). (Listing for full distribution with US distribution partners Barnes & Noble, Ingram, Baker & Taylor, and Amazon.com and International distribution partners e.g. Bertrams, Gardners.)

This service must be requested at initial set-up, and can be renewed annually.
We'll list your title with the largest wholesalers, retailers and distributors in the book industry. The annual fee provides standardized BISAC subject coding with up to three subject categories, detailed title listings in all daily catalogs provided to US, UK and International distribution partners, title summary (annotation), and cover image preparation. Ongoing changes and updates in price and/or discount are also included. Publishers may remove a title at anytime, but there will be no pro-ration of the digital catalog fee.

Inclusion in Ingram's Printed Catalogs ~ $75 for each catalog inclusion. (This monthly catalog is distributed to over 17,000 booksellers and libraries around the world)

This service must be requested at initial set-up and title can be listed in additional catalogs if requested.
Titles are eligible to be included in the catalog on a monthly basis. With this marketing service, Ingram will produce a short paragraph describing the title. Retail pricing information, and a black & white cover image will also be included. Titles submitted will appear in the catalog 3 to 4 months after the request so plan accordingly.

Manuscript Formatting/Layout Service. Using your electronic document we can create the interior book layout, format styles, then prepare the file for publishing. (Manuscript submission guidelines are located in the Author's Toolkit section.) If your manuscript is accepted our fee for formating your document is $90/hour or $3/page, whichever is less.
